The last consortia meeting was organised by the coordinator Fraunhofer in Sankt Augustin, Germany. The consortium has revised the project status and discussed final steps for the successful project conclusion.
This meeting was organised by the clinical partner RUN in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Main goal of the meeting was to have an intermediate review of the clinical trial. The meeting was attended by the PO officer, Amalia-Irina Vlad from the Commission and three external reviewers. On the first meeting day the consortium has revised the status of the clinical trial and prepared review presentations. The second day was fully dedicated to the project review.

The decision was taken to ensure that sufficient clinical data will be collected in the clinical trial during 18 months (instead of 12 months planned originally). The consortium discussed and agreed on the quality check of each trial data set. It was agreed to conduct a short term additional meeting in June 2016 at which each data set collected so far had to be scrutinised in terms of its clinical validity.

The M24 meeting had been organised by the coordinator Fraunhofer in Königswinter, Germany. The consortium had revised the project status, had discussed the steps to be done before the start of the clinical study on Feb 1st, 2016, and had scheduled the next meeting to overview the progress of the clinical study for May 2016. The consortium has discussed necessary steps to prepare to the second project review in April 2016.
A dedicated Clinical Study Meeting had been hosted by partner MUL in Leipzig, Germany. The meeting had the specific goal to inform the consortium’s clinical study teams about details of the clinical study. The clinical partners have tested the RFA planner in the surgery rooms following the real clinical workflow as it will be used during the clinical study. The meeting has assured that each clinical study team will follow exactly the same clinical study workflow.
The meeting was organised by partner NUMA in Belfast, N. Ireland, UK. The consortium has analysed the status of the implementation of the RFA planner, each clinical partner has carried live testing of the RFA planner, and identified remaining implementation issues that had to be addressed before complete software freeze. Work plan for the next six months and each partner’s responsibilities had been laid out. An additional meeting of the clinical partners has been scheduled for September 2015.
The ClinicIMPPACT First Year Review Meeting was held on April 17. 2015 in Brussels, Belgium. Attended by Project Officer: Amalia-Irina VLAD and Reviewers: Reinhold Stockbrugger, Lorenzo Memeo, Adelia Sequeira.
The M12 meeting had been organised by partner TUG in Schladming, Austria. After review of the project developmental status and tests of the RFA planner, the partners have agreed on the details of the RFA planner demonstration during the first year review meeting. The consortium had discussed the steps to be done for the review meeting, had worked out the review agenda and coordinated necessary administrative issues.
The M6 meeting had been hosted by partner TUH in Turku, Finland. The meeting had reviewed the project status, had set up the implementation plan for next 6 months for the development of the RFA planner and its key software components. As usual, the meeting had addressed preparation of upcoming project deliverables.
Jan Egger from TUG had a one month research stay in Aalto University, Finland (partner AALTO) in June 2014. The activities include integration of software components into the planning application as well as working on algorithms for image processing.
To get more insight into the differences and commonalities of the detailed workflow related to RFA interventions from all clinical partners, TUG also visited the University Clinic of Turku (partner TUH) to again observe a real intervention and identify additional requirements of the technical workflow.
TUG visited the University Clinic in Leipzig (partner MUL) for discussions about transferring the medical workflow into a technical workflow to produce an easy to understand graphical user interface for controlling it. Therefore, TUG observed an RFA intervention on-site to incorporate the actual requirements into the software.
The ClinicIMPPACT Kick-Off-Meeting was organised by partner MUG in Pichl, Austria. The consortium has identified major objectives for the first six months, which comprise the development and implementation of the RFA planner followed by prospective timeline for software tests and software freeze. Imminent work plan and each partner’s responsibilities had been laid out.
